| Hi Vera, Was Thursday and Wednesday on the US Open. Saw your double in the 1st round with Elina and your single in the 2nd round on windy Centre Court in extreme heat. And also glad that so much has changed since the last match I saw live of you at Wimbledon 2009 against Georgie Stoop. I think I was the only one at court 18 who cheered for you  Anyway, had to leave the US Open so couldn`t see the match against Dulgheru  Anyway, I really hope you will win this Slam. | Вера не плохо, но видно во втором сете были проблемы.Сам матч я не видел но счёт 2:6,2:7-видно были проблемы но до ладно.Игра с Петкович будет тяжелей, но нужно приложить все усилия и всё умение за годы,в общем обхитрить Хороший крепкий сон поможет.!!! И обязательно хорошая разминка и хлёсткие движения на отмаш в игре. | |

| I have to disagree Kangaroo. Tennis is like chess, one player does a move and then the other. During that move he/she is allready thinking about the move of his/her oppenent. If one player does a move the other one didnt expect, then he/she will most likely make a mistake, as he/she didnt see it coming and couldnt prepare well for it. So at tennis its the same. If Vera returns a ball, Dulgheru thought was a winner, or should had been returned different, so Dulgheru could get a winning shot in return, then Dulgheru will most likely make an unforced, as she wasnt prepared for this. Too many players on tour forget this, so they stop playing & thinking after a most likely winning shot, and thats why they lose in the end, vs. strong defending players. But in the end a rally isnt over until the "fat lady sings", so always expect the unexpectable and dont stop playing until you really hear the umpire´s "call".  | |

| Glad to see someone is montoring this site at last and removing offensive or ridiculous posts. The guy who was under the impression that Vera, or any player come to think of it would intentionally lose a set in any match, let alone a grand slam so they could win the game 2-1 because they have had a bet on it must be off his head. Now I am not saying that everything posted on here has to be "we love VZ." If she play`s bad and you want a bit of a moan, then no problem. I can`t print what I was shouting at the TV in the 2nd set against Lisicki the other night, but it has to be constructive criticism posted on here as it is a fan`s site at the end of the day. And Andrei (Moscow) Well done for having a word with him. I think you were right I think he was dropped on his head as a child . | |
