Vera Zvonareva is a Russian professional tennis player. Born 7 September 1984. Her career high is World No. 2 by the WTA. Zvonareva has won twelve WTA Tour singles titles and reached the finals of the 2008 WTA Tour Championships, 2010 Wimbledon Championships, and 2010 US Open. She also was a bronze medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

05-01-2019 Back in the top-100 !!

Next week Vera will be back in the top-100 of the WTA Ranking for the first time since 2012 !!

04-01-2019 Shenzhen - Into the semifinal

Vera has won over her compatriot Veronika Kudermetova 4:6 6:4 6:3 and reached the semifinal in Shenzhen.

But in the semifinal Vera has retired from the match against American Alison Riske.

30-12-2018 Shenzhen - Quarterfinal

Vera easily beat Luksika Kumkum from Thailand and then she battled past  Serbian Ivana Jorovic 7:5 4:6 6:4 and reached the quarterfinal at the Shenzhen Open.

In the next match she will play against her compatriot Veronika Kudermetova.

11-11-2018 Limoges (WTA 125K) - Semifinal!

Vera beat Tatjana Maria from Germany 6:2 6:7(3) 6:4 in the quarterfinal of the WTA 125K tournament in Limoges, France.

But then Vera lost to her compatriot Ekaterina Alexandrova 4:6 5:7.

08-11-2018 Limoges (WTA 125K) - Into the quatrerfinal

Vera easily beat Georgina Garcia Perez from Spain 6:4 6:3 and the Swiss Timea Bacsinszki 6:3 6:2 and reached the quarterfinal at the Engie Limoges Open.

In the next match Vera will play against Tatjana Maria from Germany.

18-10-2018 Kremlin Cup - Vera out in the quarterfinal

Unfortunately,  Vera lost to Anastasia Sevastova from Latvia in the quarterfinal in Moscow 6:4 5:7 3:6.
